As recipients of God’s grace through the gospel of Jesus Christ, Living Hope exists to proclaim the gospel in Word and sacrament in our community and throughout the world in order to bring the lost to Christ and to nurture believers for lives of Christian service.

Living Hope seeks to be a church family rooted in Christ — gathering around his Word and sacraments, growing in his gospel, and inviting our neighbors into the living hope we have in him.

Living Hope began as a mission congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod in 1990. For its first fifteen years, the congregation worshiped in rented facilities throughout the Brandermill area.
In 2005, we dedicated our current building on Old Hundred Road in Midlothian, where we have worshiped ever since.
Today, Living Hope is expanding its education and gathering space — so that more may be rooted in our living hope.

By the grace of God, we are eager to expand our ministry, daughter congregations, and do even more to support the training of pastors and Christian teachers.
To that end we completed a capital campaign in 2024 to finance a building expansion and a special offering to Martin Luther College.
